Wham Bam Tournaments Spades Formats

All formats are 8 hands unless otherwise specified.

 

WICKED JUSTICE:
All bids from the 1st hand will remain the same,
rotating clockwise (to the left) each following hand.
Whatever the ORDER of the bidding is in 1st hand,
it will continue that way for the rest of the game
EXAMPLE ONLY:
1st bidder bids 2, 2nd bidder bids 4, 3rd bidder bids 4 & 4th bidder bids 1.
The order of the bidding for EVERY hand from now on will be 2, 4, 4, 1
FIRST bidder will always bid 2, SECOND bidder will always bid 4, THIRD bidder will always bid 4 & FOURTH bidder will always bid 1

 

NAUGHTY MIRRORS:
Same as reg mirrors but 1st bidder calls the suit
to be bid on....could be clubs one hand, hearts
the next & spades the hand after that
It will ALWAYS be a 13 bid & spades are ALWAYS trump

 

SLAVE SUICIDE:

Hand 1, one pard nil/DN the other bids 1, Hand 2, one pard nil/DN the other bids 2
Hand 3, one pard nil/DN the other bids 3, Hand 4, one pard ni/DN the other bids 4
Hand 5, one pard nil/DN the other bids 5, Hand 6, one pard nil/DN the other bids 6
Hand 7, one pard nil/DN the other bids 7, Hand 8, one pard nil/DN the other bids 8

 

ALPHABET SOUP

  

ROTATION:
1st bidder bids 1, 2nd bidder bids 2
3rd bidder bids 3, 4th bidder bids 4
NO NILS OR DOUBLE NILS!!! Always a 10 bid.

 

REFLECTIONS:
Bid the same amount your pard does.
Please DONT bid before your pard!  

 

STRIP:
You can't play spades until you STRIP your hand
of all the other suits 1st!!! If you win a trick because
spades were lead and you still have other suits you
CAN NOT lead spades back!
Nils and Double Nils allowed.

 

GOOFY SPADES:
1st bidder bids Diamonds
2nd bidder bids Clubs
3rd bidder bids Hearts
4th bidder bids Spades
It will ALWAYS be in that order!

 

HANGMAN***:
One pard MUST bid 6, the other can bid anything.
Nils and Double Nils allowed.

 

VANITY:
This is a combo of 2 formats - Strip & Mirrors*
You bid the number of spades you have (MIRRORS)
But...
you play like STRIP (you can't play spades until you STRIP your hand of all the other suits first).

 

REVERSE GOOFY SPADES
1st bidder ALWAYS bids Spades
2nd bidder ALWAYS bids Hearts
3rd bidder ALWAYS bids Clubs
4th bidder ALWAYS bids Diamonds
It will ALWAYS be in that order!

 

SUITS ME:
4 players.....4 suits
everyone picks a different suit & bids the amount of cards they have in that suit.
EXAMPLE: 1st bidder has 1st choice of suit, 2nd bidder has 2nd choice of suit,
3rd bidder has 3rd choice & last bidder MUST take the suit that is left.

 

NAUGHTY STRIP:
This is a combo of 2 formats - Strip & Naughty Mirrors
Same as Naughty Mirrors (1st bidder picks suit to mirror)
BUT...
play like STRIP (You can't play spades until you STRIP your hand of all the other suits first).

 

REPEAT:
Whatever you bid on this hand, you MUST bid the EXACT same for next hand
ODD HANDS: Bid Regular
EVEN HANDS: REPEAT the Bid from the HAND BEFORE

 

AGONY: (8 Hands)
Hand 1, everyone bids 1... Hand 2, everyone bids 2
Hand 3, everyone bids 3... Hand 4, everyone bids 4
Hand 5, everyone bids 1... Hand 6, everyone bids 2
Hand 7, everyone bids 3... Hand 8, everyone bids 4


1 UP: (Best 2 out of 3)
You bid 1 more than the previous bidder.
switch seats after each game
Max bid for 1st bidder is 2.   Nils OK.

 

69: (Best 2 out of 3)
On 'odd' hands whoever has the '6' of Spades MUST bid '6'
everyone else MUST nil.
On 'even' hands whoever has the '9' of Spades MUST bid '9'
everyone else MUST nil.

Please don't tell us we need to change and make the 6 on even and the 9 on odd because then we couldn't call it '69' it would be '96' lol

 

BAG IT: (no hand limit)
everyone bids 1... and take the bags if you can
Its not as easy as you think!   first team to -200 wins

 

MISERY:
regular spades but in the 3rd & 6th hand
EVERYONE MUST BID NIL or DOUBLE NIL ONLY !!!

 

SADISTIC SUICIDE (best 2 out of 3):
1 pard must go NIL/DOUBLE NIL
the other pard MUST BID 1

 

HIT ME:
 You bid 1 more than your pard bids.
If your pard bids 1 you bid 2.    If your pard bids 3 you bid 4 etc...

 

OPPOSITES:
If pard bids an odd number you bid even
If pard bids an even number you bid odd
Nil / DN counts as an even bid.
Example: Pard bid 3 so you bid  4 or Pard bid Nil so you will bid 3

 

STRIP SUICIDE:
 This is a combo of 2 formats - Strip & Suicide*
Same as Suicide* (1 pard must Nil/DN the other pard must bid whatever) BUT...
play like STRIP (You can't play spades until you STRIP your hand of all the other suits first)

 

HOMICIDE:**  (also part of Cides)
Each team must make their bid equal 7.     Either a 6/1, 5/2, 3/4, or 7/nil or double nil
whatever your pard bids..... make your bid equal to 7

 

REGICIDE: (also part of Cides)
4 KINGS to be killed.    Each time a KING (opps OR pard) is killed by ANY card,
the team that took it gets 25 points on top of the final score.
Once the king is taken either team member MUST say on table:
"we killed the king" in order to get the points.

 

HUMILIATION:
This is a combo of 2 formats - Strip & Crawl*
Crawl:* everyone bids 3 & plays lowest to highest in ALL suits.  
BUT...
you play like STRIP (You can't play spades until you STRIP your hand of all the other suits first.)

 

SUBMISSION:
 You can ONLY bid 1, 2 or 3
No Nils or Double Nils 
You MUST LOSE to Advance...

 

ALONE IN THE DARK: (2 out of 3)
 First bidder Of Each Hand Must bid nil... and picks an opp to nill..
both players MUST leave the table and their pards stay to cover the nils. 

 

MELTDOWN:
This is a combo of 3 formats - Strip, Suicide* & Crawl*
Bid like Suicide* (One pard Nills, one pard bids Reg)
But Here's the catch...
You have to Crawl* (Play lowest to highest in every suit) AND
Strip (you cant play spades untill thats all you have left in your hand).

Hand 3, everyone bids 3
Hand 4, everyone bids 4

CIDES: 
Cides is 3 different formats combined into 1 killer format!

You will play the hands in the order listed. 
After homicide you start over in the same order again.
