 WHO WINS the game is NOT IMPORTANT !!

Your objective is for your TEAM to get as many pawns in your own homes BEFORE the game ends !!

 

There will be 8 - 10 tourneys per month depending on month.   You must play at least HALF of those tournaments ie: have played at least 4 or 5 games to qualify for the free month.

If you only play 1 game instead of 2 on any PRO Pards Tournament you may need to make up that missed game in order to qualify.
Your games will also show up as  RED  on your STATS showing you are a game down.

The HIGHEST 4 (or 5) scores for each player will be totaled to determine the Ranking for all the players.   The more you play, the more chance you have to better your score.

 

However, a persons free time should not be used as a qualifying factor.  So for those who cant make every tourney - there are WILDCARD Positions - explained below.

 The WILDCARDS come from 8 pre-determined ranked positions.   6th place will ALWAYS be a wildcard.   The other 7 are picked randomly.

 

Please note due to the number of ties & WILDCARD players picking other WILDCARD players to play in the PLAYOFFS
some players may move up into a WILDCARD or FINALISTS position as they becomes available.

If 2 WILDCARDs play together, they will play at the HIGHER RANKED position.

Subs are taken in order (Sub 1 then Sub2).
If a Sub is picked to be a Wildcards Pard, the player under that sub moves up to Sub 1 position.
If both subs are picked to play wildcard then the players under Sub 1 & Sub 2 are the ones picked to be the new Sub 1 & Sub 2.

If more subs are needed then the next non playoff player will play & so on.

If a WILDCARD player in an UNBREAKABLE TIE cant play, the pard they are tied with takes the WILDCARD position.

 

 

HOW IT WORKS:

Each player may pick their own pard to play with.   You may also enter as a single & a pard will be assigned to you for that tournament only.   No changes once assigned.

EACH PARD will receive 1 point per TOTAL pawns IN THEIR HOME TRIANGLES ONLY.  2 pawns = 2 points, 5 pawns = 5 points etc...

  • JoeSchmo / JaneDoe played Green/Blue.  Joe got 4 & Jane got 2 = 6 points EACH for Round 1

  • Frick / Frack played Red/Yellow.   Frick got 3 & Frack got 2  = 5 points EACH for Round 1

Max points that can be made by any Team will be 7 per game multiplied by 2 games each tournament = 14 points max per pard.

Points are given to each player so you may play with different pards each time you play.

Pawn points for each player will be kept track of & updated 'usually' within 24 hours of playing.

 

NEW AS OF JUNE 2017 PLAYERS/JULY PLAYOFFS - 4 PRIZES EACH MONTH instead of 2

At the end of the month the players in FIRST & SECOND PLACE will EACH receive a FREE 30 day Yacht Club Membership to keep for themselves or give to another player.   No need to play in any playoffs or finals.    They each win their prize outright.

  • The 2nd Chance WINNING TEAM will come from 2 sets of Playoffs.

    • The FIRST Playoff is 2 ROUNDS & consists of the 8 WILDCARD Position winners.

      • The 8 wildcards will pick their own pard and play 2 rounds.

      • The 4 highest ranking wildcards choose seats for Round 1.   Round 2 seats are decided by order of reports.

      • The team with the MOST PAWNS after both games are the WILDCARD WINNERS & advance to the SECOND PLAYOFF

 

    • The SECOND Playoffs consist of the PLAYERS RANKED 3rd, 4th, 5th & the pard of THEIR choice PLUS the WINNERS of the FIRST Playoffs.

      • The teams will use the Playoff Rules & play Round 1.

      • Round 2 seat choice is given to the team on each table with MOST PAWNS in home at the end of the game.

      • The team with the MOST PAWNS after both games are the WINNERS for the month!!

 


STANDARD RULES 

  • Everyone plays 2 rounds - win OR lose.   Don't leave until you have played 2 games.

  • If your name is not listed in Neptunes Report then you wont get any points for that round.   If not sure when to leave, stay in your seat until the Host has cleared you to make sure that doesn't happen.   In pards, the remaining pard will get credit for ALL pawns.

  • DO NOT RESIGN.   There are strict penalties for doing so listed under Game Rules

  • If you do not have 4 players at your table & you came in after ALL START you may not be able to play.    Make sure you in early enough so that you can play & get points!

  • If a sub is used & that sub has not played in either round that sub will get credit for any pawns they themselves put in.   If sub has already played then those pawns will be credited to Neptune.

  • Booted/timed out players get credit for pawns they had in prior to the boot/time out.  DQ players dont get points for the round they are DQed in.

  • You may win both PRO SINGLES & PRO PARDS in a single month.

  • You may not win the prize for either SINGLES OR PARDS more than twice in a row.

    • If you have already won 1st place in SINGLES for 2 months IN A ROW &...

      • you win 1st place for a 3rd time... you get credit BUT the player in 2nd gets the prize & 3rd, 4th, 5th & 6th move up 1 ranking.

      • you qualify for WILDCARD or FINALS...

        • you may play for the glory BUT the first ranked under you will get the prize if you win.

        • if the player ranked under you was a wildcard/finalists then it will go to the next player who is not a wildcard/finalist

    • If you have already won 1st/2nd place in PARDS for 2 months IN A ROW &...

      • you win 1st/2nd place for a 3rd time... you get credit BUT the player in 3rd gets the prize & 4th, 5th, 6th & 7th move up 1 ranking.

      • you qualify for WILDCARD or FINALS...

        • your may play for the glory BUT the first/second ranked under you will get the prize.

        • If you are in an UNBREAKABLE TIE then the player under you (not TIED WITH YOU) will get the prize.

        • if the player ranked under you was already a wildcard/finalist then it will go to the next player who were not a wildcard/finalist

      • you are asked to be a pard of a WILDCARD or FINALIST you must decline.

        • Since you cant win the prize anyway there is no sense competing for something you would have to give away.

 

 

 

EVERYONE who plays BOTH ROUNDS will either be given credit on SHG as 1st, 2nd or 3rd place.

TOTAL of Pawns IN Home Triangle: 14, 13, 12, 11 or 10 9, 8, 7, 6, 5 4, 3, 2, 1 or 0
SHG Points  1st Place 2nd Place 3rd Place

Individual banners will NOT be made unless you request it.      You must play in BOTH ROUNDS to be entered in the SHG TOC database.

 


Ties for Qualifying SCORES will be broken in the following way:

  • FIRST: a players ranking game scores come into play.   ie: 8,7,7,6,6,4 is better than 8,7,7,6,5,5 even thou they both add up to 38.   If those numbers all tie then...

  • SECOND: by the number of games played as long as the same.

    • If the Games Played is the same number then the total scores will be compared & the higher score wins.

      • if the scores are a TIE then the rules for RAW SCORE are used. (see THIRD)

    • If the Games Played are NOT the same number

      • & the player with LESS games has a higher total they will rank higher or..

  • THIRD: the RAW score for each player.   Higher raw score ranks higher.   If still a tie..

    • Then by the LOWEST scores a player has regardless of number of games played until tie is broken.   If still a tie..

    • Then by the SUM of the FIRST & LAST score a player has regardless of number of games played.   If still a tie Check with Host.

Players who keep the same pard all month WILL end up with a tie that cant be broken.

Whichever player on the team ends up in the WILDCARD/FINALIST position is the ONLY player on the team who made WILDCARD or FINALIST.

Its up to the WILDCARD/FINALIST player to pick the tied player as their pard but they are under NO obligation to do so.

 


 

BOOTING / HITTING REMOVE or RESIGN

If a player boots from a table, that player has 5 min to come back.   REMOVE is not to be hit by any of the remaining players on the table for any reason.

When a boot happens, the HOST SHOULD BE NOTIFIED so a pawn count can be taken AT THAT TIME & player can be timed.   PLEASE screenshot your game.

If a player hits remove, by accident or otherwise, that player will be DQ'd & lose pawn count for the night.

If host is not notified of boot & the booted player is removed, the game will be declared over, all players on table will be D'Qd & lose their pawn count for the night.  In addition the booted player will get 4 points automatically.

Hitting resign in a game will give a player a 24 hour ban from playing in our room for the first offence.    More on this under Game Rules

If a player resigns please call host to table immediately.   Host will then take pawn count of those in the HOME TRIANGLE AND in the HOME..

The players will then RESEAT with a sub & start a new game.

Depending on how many pawns the players have depends on how many pawns they can play with in this game.

For example:

  • SoWicked had 1 in HOME triangle & 2 in the ladder for a total of 3.

  • WhamBam_Booty had 2 in HOME triangle & 0 in the ladder for a total of 2.

  • WB_DJ_HABS had 1 in HOME triangle & 0 in the ladder for a total of 1.

In the new game with a sub:

  • SoWicked will only be able to play with 1 pawn (since he had a total of 3).

  • WhamBam_Booty will only be able to play with 2 pawns (since he had a total of 2)

  • WB_DJ_HABS will only be able to play with 3 pawns (since he had a total of 1)

To only play with a certain amount of pawns - DONT take more than that out of your nest.

 

The resigning player will not be allowed to play in PRO/BOSP for the remainder of the month & will not be eligible for ANY Playoff they may have been in.

 


 

SEATING

 Round 1 you will be seated as you ask in.   If you go in single you will be assigned a pard.   NO pard changes.

 

 Round 2 you will be seated AS NEPTUNE REPORTS keeping the same colors together - see below.

  • Teams who played  YELLOW  RED  in ROUND 1 will play a team who was also  YELLOW  RED  in ROUND 2. 

  • Teams who played  GREEN  BLUE  in ROUND 1 will play a team who was also  GREEN  BLUE   in ROUND 2.

  • If there is an odd amount of tables the last table seated will play each other again for Round 2 sitting in order of Neptunes' Report from Round 1.

  • The FIRST reported table by Neptune has seat choice over the second reporting table for the SAME ASSIGNMENT.   Hurry & sit once you have been cleared by host.

  • You may sit in ANY seat as long as its across from your pard and YOUR TABLE to be on.
