POCKET POOL

(this format is still being tested & info below may change)

Players needed: 4
Rounds to play before Banner: DE format meaning you can lose twice before you are out
Approx. Time: 25 min per game avg.
Game Settings: Manual Fives, 1 Pawn Out, NO Blockades

Everyone is always trying to get their balls to a safe spot on the board so why not have a game about it!

There are 4 balls per player but only 11 available ""POCKETS" on the pool table for each player.  Your own START POCKET does not count for YOU.

The object is to get ALL your balls in the "POCKET's" by COMPLETED ROLL before anyone else.

COMPLETED ROLL means you must use ALL of the moves available to you INCLUDING any BONUS's or DOUBLES.   Your turn MUST BE OVER to claim win.

The game ends when one of three scenarios happen - Either A, B or C

A B C
GAME ENDED BECAUSE? A player put 1 pawn in their Home Triangle 1 player has ALL their balls on "POCKET's" All the "POCKET's" are full.
WINNERS WILL BE: The player with the MOST BALLS IN THE "POCKET's" The above player The player with the MOST BALLS IN THE "POCKET's"
IN CASE OF A TIE? Tie players move on to next round There wont be one Tie players move on to next round

.    This is DE meaning you can lose twice before you are out.

Helpful Info..

  • Once you have passed a "POCKET" that ball no longer has a shot at that "POCKET" unless that ball is hit sending it back to your nest.
  • Going back to your nest gives you another chance at going around the board & possibly landing in "POCKET's" that are still open.
  • If you want to be hit - sit on a players start (if they have men in the nest) to force them to hit you IF they come out.
  • Keep a ball on YOUR start "POCKET" so someone else cant sit there.
  • Remember, if you hit a player you are giving them another chance at the available "POCKET's" around the pool table.
  • If you get 3 balls in the "POCKETS" get that last man to the HOME Triangle or a pocket to end game & possibly win!

In the above image  there is a tie between GREEN & RED.   BOTH will move on.
