How your team can get the
BIG O
Its simple!!
All 4
players on the team MUST work together to get ALL their balls EXCEPT BALL 3 in the home
triangle (example 1).
But the BALLS ARENT NUMBERED
you say! How can we keep track of which ball is which?
The balls have a specific
place they will go to WHEN HIT or when ENTERING THE HOME TRIANGLE. But there
are some IMPORTANT details you need to know.
-
To know where a ball
will go upon entering the home triangle look at Example
2. All balls will follow this rule no matter what
color position you play.
-
To know where the ball
will go when hit look at the game board below
based on the BLUE PLAYER.
The FIRST BALL
OUT is ALWAYS located in the TOP LEFT of your Nest (Start) - BUT ONLY FROM
YOUR POINT OF VIEW.
YELLOWs normal position
for BALL 1 should be EMPTY because BALL 1 is out!! Instead
it SHOWS TO BLUE as BALL 3. Imagine that.
-
Now click the GREEN BALL
to see that SAME YELLOW BALL is now shown as BALL 2 ! Say
What?
-
Try the RED BALL.
That darn SAME YELLOW BALL is now shown as BALL 4 !
Hmmm...
-
For the heck of it now
click on the YELLOW BALL to see the BALL 1 space is EMPTY!
Click any COLOR BALL
below to check for yourself on ANY BALL NUMBER. The ball
numbers never change. Only the colors. You can view all 4 boards at
one time at the bottom of this page.
Facts about BALL 3
-
BALL 3 is ALWAYS SHOWN as
BOTTOM LEFT for each player from YOUR point of view
-
If BALL 3 gets hit, it
will ALWAYS GO BACK to the BOTTOM LEFT of YOUR point of view.
-
BALL 3 WILL ALWAYS GO TO
THE TOP OF THE HOME TRIANGLE
Other Rules:
-
Do not let any of your
teams
THIRD BALL end up in the home triangle!! The spaces leading up
to it are ok, just cant be inside the triangle itself.
-
Its up to you & your team to
keep track of each players' THIRD BALL.
-
If the THIRD BALL does end
up in the HOME TRIANGLE, the team can either reseat & start over
OR forfeit the game & wait on 'little o"
YOU MAY RESEAT as MANY
TIMES as YOU WANT !!
But the more you reseat, the greater the chance other tables can get
ahead BUT.. they may have to reseat too!
Tips from other players:
-
Hit every ones BALL 3
to put it back in the Nest (start) AND your teamie will get a boost
for hitting it! Take it back out to be hit again.
-
If you choose not to hit BALL 3 as
above you can get the double double bonus for having
all of your balls out of the nest.
-
If you cant keep track
of every one on the teams BALL 3 at least keep track of your own BALL
3.
-
If your not sure which
ball is BALL 3 - HIT IT - & see where it goes in the
nest. Be careful thou, if you have AUTO ON you may not be
able to UNDO the move!
-
Keep BALL 3 on a safety
to keep track of it.
-
Once BALL 3 is out keep
it next to the nest. Why waste spaces on it.
Just move it enough so its off your start.
-
Put your balls
in order so all your teamies know which is which
-
You have to get out ALL
4 BALLS before you can hit BALL 3 or ball 4 will never come out
To have everyone
START AT THE SAME TIME, all players MUST THUMB UP but the YELLOW SEAT.
Its YOUR TEAMS JOB to make
sure everyone is ready!! The players in the
YELLOW seats MUST know how to set the options !!
Host will run a room message
in lobby letting all players know the countdown is about to START.
Use this time to make sure the YELLOW player & all teamies are ready.
When the countdown
reaches 1 the YELLOW PLAYER on each table will 'thumb up' starting their
games.
Every second counts!
Sometimes the BIG O is just too much work after a long
hard day & a little
o is the perfect tourney!
To get the little o EACH PLAYER ONLY PUTS THE THIRD PAWN IN
(example 3) Get the 3rd ball out & get it HOME! Its
that simple! The BIG O takes longer to play
but its more rewarding while the
little o is easier to get but just doesn't give you that same
tournament feeling.
