ALL Wham Bam hosts use the following rules listed below
PACHISI
ENTERING A TOURNEY
Ins are taken & placed as they ask in. Do not enter the tourney until you are ready to sit!!
Hosts may vary on how they assign (some may fill a table completely before moving on to next, some put 2 players on a few tables then go back & fill them.)
Assigning to a table immediately or posting assigns at start is also left to the hosts discretion.
Please do NOT ask in for the tourney if you or your pard are either in another tourney, playing in another room or not in the room.
Exception to this are 3 man teams & pizza/pachisio formats where your teamie can be in the previous tourney in the same room.
NEW as of 9.1 - If you ask for a sub or time out you may NOT enter the next tourney until the tourney you were playing in is finished.
Exceptions to this are 3 man Teams & Pizza/Oos where a player can enter you as part of their team
Gagged players can get in the tourney by having someone else in the room put them in for either singles or pard formats.
PLAYER12345> Host can you please enter <gagged players nick here>
Please sit quickly once assigned or you may lose seat choice. This is left up to the individual host. Some allow 1 min, some say whoever is there first gets seat.
Once you sit - please do not change your seat color (singles) or team colors (pards). Others 'in' based on the available seat colors left after you sit. However...
You may switch seat colors WITH YOUR PARD if you 'inned' AS A TEAM. ie: red for yellow or green for blue.
Do NOT ask your pard to switch seats if you 'inned' as a single. YOU control where you sit - NOT the host - so 'in' wisely.
In future rounds..
you may switch seat colors WITH YOUR PARD no matter how you inned. ie: red for yellow or green for blue.
There is no changing of seat color for SINGLES format in any round.
If you want a certain table or seat color YOU MUST WATCH for when to 'IN' - hosts are not responsible if a player ins at the 'wrong time' for the seat they wanted.
The same goes for avoiding a certain table or color. Its YOUR responsibility to watch the lobby/ins.
If you 'OUT' of the tourney you cant 'IN' again if your original assigned seat is now filled with another player.
An player who 'outs' can only sub if there is no one else available. A player who 'outs' is always put at the bottom of the sub list.
You may not 'OUT' of a tourney, change nicks & re-in under another nick.
If you enter a pard-type tourney as a single, & there is a single waiting you will be assigned to them.
Don't want to take the chance of who that pard may be... then DON'T sign up single.
If there is no single waiting you will get the next single 'in' or you may enter in a pard
If you 'in' with a pard & your pard has to leave, you have until ALL START to find a new one or host will assign you one.
If you inned single then another single will be assigned.
If you have a player blocked who has been assigned to your table you have the choice to unblock them so they can sit or forfeit the game.
Standing up from the table is also an acceptable way to let the blocked player sit. Once they sit, you can then sit back down & reblock.
Prior to tournament starting you only have 1 min to unblock or you will be soft booted.
In TEAMS, once the game starts you have 1 min to unblock or you will be DQ'd for THAT round
All players are timed (5 mins) from "ALL START" or from assign to START their games & will be replaced when the 5 min are up.
A timed out player can be a sub.
Once a tourney has started & is in late ins..
remaining players on table only have 1 min to
start once a player has sat to replace a timed out player.
GAMEPLAY
It is YOUR responsibility to know format & make sure table options are set correctly. Please call host if table options are set wrong.
There is NO RESEATING once all 4 players have gone 1 turn.
If the wrong options are AUTO 5s or NO UNDO - you have no choice but to play it that way.
If the wrong option is set to have BLOCKS ON - you may NOT use the blocks even thou its possible. If there is no choice - call host.
Sometimes the wrong options arent noticed till a block has been set. Player using blocks MUST remove that block on the next turn or be DQ.
If the game has a glitch you must play on AS IS if possible.. Send screenshot & debug files (click CRTL + ALT + D at same time) to safeharborgames@gmail.com
If the game is not able to be continued, its at the hosts discretion to either banner the whole table, reseat them or move all the players on to next round.
In PRO or BOSP, game glitches will follow the reseating procedure for when a player resigns in PRO PARDS or BOSP format.
If all players have not gone 1 turn reseating for glitches are allowed.
Play in a timely manner. Help us help you get into the next tourney by playing quickly. Just cause you dont want to play next, others on your table might.
If youre playing slow, the host will check your ping. If its high you will be asked to reboot & will have 5 min in which to return.
Upon coming back, if you are still slow you may be asked to leave the game & try again when your able to play faster.
You may turn off kibitz on the table (except 3 man teams). If you need the host, just ask in lobby. No need to turn kibitz back on.
You may not kibitz one table while playing on another. You have to choose to do one or the other.
There is no kibitzing allowed in PRO/BOSP qualifying tourneys or in any of the monthly playoffs/finals including TOC.
Screenshots of cheating WILL be sent to Salty & you WILL be blocked from playing in our room.
Text files/logs are not enough proof. Screenshots of PM's or table chat are.
NO TABLE TALK !! TABLE TALK is anything that leads another player to notice something before, during OR AFTER a turn.
Everyone has different views on what table talk is but the ONLY opinion who counts is the HOST of THAT tourney. If host says its TT then it is.
1st offence is a warning. Subsequent offences will be a DQ.
We ask that you please show good sportsmanship & your manners by saying good luck (gl) & good game (gg) to your opps/pard.
Not everyone feels the same way. If a player doesnt say it - that is their choice & please respect their right not to.
2 min in game lag/brb in game before host is called.
5 min on boots. 3 boots & sub will need to take over. Booting off a table does not count towards the room boots.
When a player boots please let host know. DO NOT hit 'Remove'. Doing so will result in a DQ for you.
You are allowed to leave a game at anytime but please DO NOT hit the 'Resign' button !! There are consequences for Resigning.
Resigning in ANY format where its NOT allowed will result in:
1st offence: not being allowed to play in our room for 24 hours
2nd offence: not allowed to play in our room for a week PLUS player will not be eligible to play in ANY playoff for the month. They also won't be eligible for BEST PLAYER.
if a player resigns in any PRO/BOSP they will not be allowed to play in that PRO/BOSP for the rest of the month along with the stated above.
please see each PRO format page for how that will work for remaining players left on the table'
3rd offence: SHG will be informed of the problem & further action will be taken by them.
In other formats, its up to each host how they will handle the resign based on round, how many tables & time.
Host can either banner the whole table as 1st place (except the resigning player)
Move all the players (except resigning player) on to the next round with a sub
Reseat the table & have them start over with a sub for the resigning player
In any Pard-Chisi or pard type formats, 2 SUBS can NOT continue together. At least 1 player MUST be an original member. (except for PRO PARDS or BOSP)
Subs are allowed in PRO Singles & Domination due to format.
You may not sub if you choose not to play your given assignment for Round 2 on unless there is no one else available.
A player who 'outs' is always put at the bottom of the sub list. If anyone else is there to sub they will sub before the player who outted.
A player who starts the game in Round 1, Roll 1 is NOT a sub - anyone else is.
A player taking over for host who started the game in Round 1 Roll 1 is NOT a sub either.
No changing of one nick in the middle of a tourney to come back in & sub as another nick. If found out, you will be out of the tournament & if a monthly contest you will lose all points for that month.
REPORTING & MISC.
Reports are taken as they come in either by a player or Neptune - depending on format.
If a player 'times out' they will be replaced and will not be allowed play again until till the host needs a sub & they have asked to sub.
Hosts follow NEPTUNEs reports for everything. Scores, pawns in, breaking ties etc. Its reliable & non-disputable.
All ties in Pawn Star format (or when needed) will be broken by Neptune to provide a consistent ruling among hosts.
The order that Neptune posts is the order used.
Neptune always posts players the following way..
FIRST by number of pawns IN the home triangle.
SECOND by score. You score is the number of spaces ALL of your pawns have moved.
If pawn count AND score are tied between 2 or more players an internal roll is done & whoever won the internal roll is listed first.
Don't leave table to early or to quickly because your name may not show in Neptune's Report.
No name in Neptune means no name in banner/SHG points or a pawn count in ANY of our monthly contests.
Player will NOT advance to next round if their name is not listed in NEPTUNE in BOTH pards & singles.
In PRO Pards & BOSP, your pard will still get the TEAM pawn count.
You may only play on 1 table at a time. If you're found to on a table elsewhere you will be asked to leave there immediately. If you don't you will be DQ'd.
You will only be asked to leave the other room one time. If you do it again you will be immediately DQ'd
All Hosts have the right to close ANYTIME after 5 min past SCHEDULED Start Time. Exact close time will vary from host to host.
A sub list is kept by host. If you leave the room for over 5 min you will be taken off the sub list.
In some cases the format of the tourney will be decided by the host at the start of 'ins'
Not all scenarios can be anticipated. The host of the tourney will do their best to be fair to all players in making any decision not covered here.
Think before you Type! What doesn't offend you may offend someone else. Any chat in the lobby should be suitable for 16+
Please note that our Pachisi Hosts use 2 different programs to host. Nojoks & Keyboard
Express.
In some cases you may have a host do brackets & byes one way &
a different host do it another way. There is nothing wrong with this.
Each host is just following the bracket
THEIR hosting program laid out for them.
The fine print... Host decisions are final.
