Players needed: 3
Rounds to play before Banner: No banner - This is a monthly contest
Approx. Time: 3 rounds & 30 minutes PER round
Game Settings: Manual Fives, 1 Pawn Out, NO Blockades
This is also a NO RESIGN tourney.
Try to be the
DOMINATOR of the month & WIN a 30 day YCM for yourself or a friend!
The 9 players with the most points
at the end of the month will play in a playoff to determine who wins.
How it works:
This is a 3 player 2
on 1 game. The game ends when any player has 4 pawns in
home.
Each player will take
a turn in the middle seat & try to get their pawns IN HOME while the
players on either side work together to stop the middle seat from
scoring!
The middle seat rotates each
week so that all 4 colors will be used throughout the month.
Scoring for
each player is decided by 2 things.
-
FIRST by
the number of pawns the PLAYER IN THE MIDDLE SEAT puts home.
-
If the middle
seat puts 4 pawns IN HOME the middle player gets 3 points & the
other 2 players receive 1 point each
-
If the middle
seat puts 3 pawns IN HOME the middle player gets 2 points & the
other 2 players receive 1 point each
-
If the middle
seat puts 2 pawns IN HOME the middle player gets 1 points & the
other 2 players receive 2 points each
-
If the middle
seat puts 1 or 0 pawns IN HOME the middle player gets 1 points &
the other 2 players receive 3 points each
-
SECOND by
the number of players playing in that weeks' tournament.
The more players, the more points you get!
Example: a player made 2 points
round 1, 3 points round 2, & 2 points round 3 & 21 players played.
Their score would be: 28 (2 + 3 + 2 + 21)
Your TOTAL for
the month is your weekly scores added together.
Your RANKING for
the month is decided by how good your TOTAL is compared
to everyone else playing
Ties are broken by using the
ACTUAL POINTS made by a player. The number
of players who played in any week is NEVER used to break ties.
-
A player with ACTUAL POINTS of
3, 3, 3, 1 will RANK HIGHER than a player with ACTUAL POINTS OF 3,
3, 2, 2 even thou both ways add to 10.
Additional Rules:
-
The 2 players working
as a 'team' against the middle player CANT hit each other.
-
The middle player may hit any
player at any time.
-
If you make a move
that puts you in a position to make a forced hit (such as going
home) - you MUST undo to avoid that hit or take a penalty.
-
Each dice roll
constitutes a 'new' turn. once undo is no longer available, its a
'new' turn.
-
You are allowed to 'park' on ANY
players START position so they hit you but see above for Penalty
Rules.
-
Seating for Round 2 & 3 will
be posted by the host. Middle seat will ALWAYS have
first choice on where to sit for the next round
-
It doesn't matter which of
the side seats sits in the middle Round 2 as long as one of them
do.
-
If the 2 players who
played as a Team in Round 1 cant decide on who should sit in the
Middle for Round 2...
-
When you time out you forfeit
you rights to points in the ROUND you timed out in.
-
If you have played 3 rounds &
you sub then your points are given to Neptune.
-
Please remember to play in the
SAME NICK all month. If you accidently play under
a diff nick your points will be combined for you but only ONCE.
-
ALL standard WB rules apply.
Playoff Rules.
Playoffs
happen on the FIRST Tuesday of the month. They are done the
SAME TIME as the regular tourney & THOSE points apply as your score THAT
day.
Watch for your team
listing...1st person listed has seat choice, then 2nd then 3rd
Host will put in a sub for
any of the 3 groups that are missing a player. Sub will sit
last.
3 rounds will be played
just like in the weekly challenge. Most points at the end of
the playoffs will be the winner for the month.
NOTE: Tiebreakers for
playoffs can add more time needed to find out winner.
Please expect to be here longer than normal for playoffs.
If there is a tie between
the top scorers it will be handled the following way.
-
if 2 players are in a
tie... host will sit as 3rd player for a tiebreaker game
of 2 rounds with each player sitting in the middle. The
host doesnt have to sit in the middle because the opps get the same
number of points so it wont make a difference. This is
known as the Gyzmo rule.
-
If host has the
most points at the end, the 2nd highest points will win.
-
If host and
another player are tied for first the other player wins. I
-
if 3 players in a
tie... all 3 players will play again in a tie-breaker game of 3
rounds.
-
if 4 players or more
are in a tie, the scores will be considered to see which 3 play in
the tiebreaker.
If at the end of the
tiebreaker round there is still a tie between 2 players, they will
play in SUDDEN DEATH.
