3 MAN TEAMS

 

Players needed: 3 plus 1 for sub (optional)
Rounds to play before Banner: 6 for qualifying (7 if you make semis, 8 if you make finals)
Approx. Time: 20 min time limit PER round.
Game Settings: Manual Fives, 1 Pawn Out, NO Blockades

Please note there are NO late ins for this tourney.   You need to signup BEFORE the ALL START.

 

Teams of 3 play 2 player matches against other teams.    Each win is worth 1 point.

The 4 teams with the MOST WINS after 5 or 6 Rounds* will play in SEMIS.   The TOP 2 teams from semis will play FINALS.

ALL POINTS ARE RESET before starting both SEMIS & FINALS

*The number of rounds played are determined by the time.   See lobby for details.

 

How it works: 

Each team picks a TEAM CAPTAIN & a TEAM NUMBER.     Your team can pick from any number not already chosen.

The TEAM CAPTAIN is responsible for your team & communicating the wins from each round with the host.

When ready the TEAM CAPTAIN will enter your team.    There are BONUS points available for EARLY SIGNUPS!!

  • Teams registering from :00 to :15 receive 3 point BONUS

  • Teams registering from :15 to rules being run receive 2 point BONUS

Each team may add/switch out a sub for a max of 4 players per team.   The sub may NOT be switched out past round 6.

 

 

Host will announce each assignment in lobby as follows:   example: Team 2 vs Team 9 on Tables 25 26 27

Each player on the team must sit on one of the 3 assigned tables against an opponent from a different team.  Please start once both players are seated.

FIRST SEATED GETS SEAT CHOICE.    The opponent MUST sit across.     If your thumb has NOT been put up, you may change your table.

When your game is over, report win or loss to your TEAM CAPTAIN.     Once all 3 players on the team have played the CAPTAIN will report to the host.

All games from a round MUST be finished before the next round can be assigned     Please play at a brisk pace.

Team Captains will report to the host as follows:   TeamX (2 wins) / TeamY (1 win)

 

 

In case of a tie after qualifying rounds or SEMIS have been played...

  • If 2 teams are tied then the TEAM CAPTAINS will each choose 1 player on their team to play 1 game.    The WINNERS' team moves on to SEMIS.

  • If more than 2 teams are tied a roll off between the TEAM CAPTAINS will be done to keep the delays to a minimum.

    • Each TEAM CAPTAIN will take a turn sitting with the host on a table to try to roll the HIGHEST number of all the TEAM CAPTAINS.

      • HOST will choose same table and color for all Captains.

      • Once the GAME STARTS the die of the OPENING roll made by the CAPTAIN is the number that will be used.

    • Once each CAPTAIN has had a turn rolling the dice the numbers are compared & the HIGHEST ROLLS to make semis have 4 teams  advance (HOST WILL ADVISE  THE NUMBER DURING THE FINAL STATS RUN  in lobby.

      •   If there is still a tie then another roll off with ONLY those CAPTAINS still in a tie will be done.

 

SEMI ASSIGNS for the 4 teams will be assigned as follows:

  • Team with most points will play against Team with least points.   The 2 middle Teams will play each other.

 

FINALS ASSIGNS will come from the 2 TEAMS in SEMIS with the MOST WINS.
